The Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury fight has contracts signed for late 2026, likely November, but key details remain unresolved — including the venue, with initial conversations about a potential US location now reportedly underway.
Eddie Hearn told BoxingScene that the signed contract specifies a UK location, meaning any shift to America would require renegotiation.
“There has been some murmuring of the fight taking place in the US. The contract specifically states that the fight must take place in the UK. Right now there is no official confirmation.”
BoxingScene reports that initial conversations have taken place about SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles as a possible venue, with Las Vegas and the MGM Grand also under consideration. Hearn had previously noted that the US could be preferable given the UK’s volatile weather conditions in late November.
Dana White also complicated the picture by claiming he — alongside financier Turki Alalshikh — is more central to the negotiations than Hearn or Fury’s promoter Frank Warren.
“Have they announced where that fight is? No. I know where it is. Call Eddie right now and ask him if he knows where the fight is. Call Eddie and ask him who negotiated the contract for the fight. It wasn’t him.”
Both Joshua and Fury have interim fights to complete first. Joshua faces Kristian Prenga in Saudi Arabia on July 25, while Fury is expected to fight Nelson Hysa in August.
